Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme:
CCTM will organize Three days Continuing Medical Education for Sowa Rigpa Medical Practitioner from 27th - 29th February 2012. This programme is fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare through Department of AYUSH, New Delhi. Tibetan Medical Practitioner who are interested to join in this progamme are kindly request to register their name through email or any written message.

New Coordinator:
Dr. Tsering Dorjee Dekhang resident of Toronto, Canada has been appointed as a coordinator of Tibetan Medicical Practitioner residing in Canada for the period of one year from November 2011 - October 2012.

Late fees for late registration
In the last monthly meeting, (Oct. 2011) Members of CCTM unanimously passed the resolution to charge late fee for the Tibetan Medical Practitioner who failed to register within a year of their graduation. If any practitioner failed to get register on time has to pay double amount of membership fees at a time as a late fees. We request all the concern to contact CCTM office and get register on time.
Deduction of Membership fee for the Physician living in Abroad
Keeping in view of suggestion received from many Tibetan Physician living in abroad regarding the difficulties in payment of CCTM membership fee, executive member during its last board meeting (dated 5-8th September 2011),the members has unanimously decided to reduce fees from US$ 150 to US$ 75. Registered member who pay their fees for three years at time will get 15% discount.
All the abroad living physicians who have not paid their membership fees are requested to pay their dues.
2nd International Conference on Tibetan Medicine

Membership - Friends of Tibetan Medicine (FTM)
Central Council of Tibetan Medicine has opened a new catagory of Membership as a Friends of Tibetan Medicine – FTM Member. The chief aim of becoming a FTM Member is showing your support for the Tibetan Medicine and its Governing Council. Individual who are interested to join in this category are most welcome!

Registration of CCTM under Societies Registration Act.
Under the Law and Guidlines of the Societies Registration Act. 1860, Central Council of Tibetan Medicine recently registered under the Societies Registration Act. XXV,- H.P.1860 (Registration no. 4348/S/H/R/C - dated 12th Jan. 2011). According to the Memorandum and Rules and Regulations, CCTM
main objective is to Preserve and Promote the rich tradion of ancient Tibetan Medical Science. At present, CCTM consists nine executive member with total strength of three hundred and ninety members including FTM members.
CCTM remarks its 7th anniversary on 5th Jan. 2011
Today, 5th Jan. 2011 remarks the 7th anniversary of Central Council of Tibetan Medicine. Members of CCTM has celebrated its 7th anniversary at Men-Tsee-Khang Hall, Gangkyi, Dharamsala. Dr. Sonam Dolma, VC of CCTM has welcomed all the guest and participant followed by a brief introduction on the CCTM and its curricular. Chief Guess Mr. Choepe Paljor,Hon. Health Kalon has briefly addressed on this occassion and called CCTM to ensure standard quality of Tibetan Medicine through proper inspections. He said that CCTM should conduct quality check of manufacturing units owned by private physicians and guided to frame critera to the manufacturing units who fails to meet the mandatory ingredients and requirements for their registration. Health Kalon also said that is very important to improve the efficacies of the medicines, particularly the spiritual components which is very unique to the Tibetan Medicine. He firmly said that members of the council and its registered members must work togather to sustain the recognition accorded to the Sowa Rigpa medcal system by the Indian Government.

Tibetan Medicine is legally recognized
Sowa Rigpa (Tibetan Medical System) is legally recognized by Govt. of India. The legislation bill to recognize Sowa Rigpa Medicine was first passed in Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament on 25th August, 2010 and then in Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament on 31st August, 2010.
