AIMS:
- To preserve and promote the rich tradition of Sowa-Rigpa; Tibetan Medical System
- To protect patients, public and professionals by ensuring standards medical education and trainings
- To prescribe highest standards of Professional conduct, Etiquette and code of ethics to be observed by the Tibetan medical practitioners.
OBJECTIVES:
- Registration of all Traditional Tibetan Doctors, according to the Exile Tibetan Sorig Doctors’ Act, 2003.
- Temporary / Permanent registration of all Tibetan Medical Colleges and Institutions in Exile.
- To establish guidelines for good medical practice and standardization of Tibetan Medicine.
- Invitation of medical, legal and other experts to obtain their expert opinion regarding ways to obtain formal recognition of the Tibetan medical system
- To maintain up to date registration of Tibetan medical practitioner
- To work together with the traditional Tibetan physicians in the Himalayan region and help them in their developmental projects on Tibetan medicine.
- To conduct and provide Re-Orientation Training Programs, Continuing Medical Education and workshops on Tibetan medicine to traditional Tibetan physicians.
